Today, during Walt Disney’s investor call meeting, the studio announced a second season is coming for Percy Jackson & The Olympians. The series wrapped up its first season last week on Disney+ with over 110 million hours viewed. It seemed almost guaranteed that another season was in the pipeline, as early treatments for season 2 had already begun earlier last year. Star Walker Scoobell even teased just last week that production on a possible season 2 will begin this summer back in Vancouver, But, while we’re filming next season, I don’t even know if it’s confirmed yet, but I would assume that it’s maybe next summer. Original author Rick Riordan added to today’s announcement, “I can’t wait to bring the next season of Percy Jackson to Disney+! Raise anchors. Hoist the mainsail. All hands on deck, demigods. We’re heading for the Sea of Monsters!”
