Last month, Universal Pictures announced yet another Jurassic World feature film was in the works. Original Jurassic Park writer David Koepp has returned to the franchise to pen the new screenplay. The film is expected to be a new storyline set in the Jurassic universe. Now, director David Leitch has entered talks to helm the franchise. Leitch is best known for co-directing John Wick, helming Bullet Train, and Deadpool 2. He takes over from director Colin Trevorrow, who last helmed Jurassic World: Dominion. It’s unknown but unlikely if any of the franchise’s original stars will return, including  Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, or Jeff Goldblum. Steven Speilberg will produce the new film under his Amblin production banner.

Jurassic World 4 will hit theaters July 2nd, 2025
