Due to last summer’s ongoing WGA writer’s strike and SAG-AFTRA actor’s strike, many projects’ production dates were pushed indefinitely, which forced many actors to drop out of previously signed roles. Andrew Garfield has been forced to drop out of director Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming Frankenstein film. He was going to play Franksentin’s monster in the reimagining. Now, Jacob Elordi will replace Garfield as the monster of the novel. He is best known for his roles in Euphoria and, most recently, Priscilla. He joins Oscar Isaac as Doctor Frankenstein alongside Christopher Waltz and Felix Kammerer. Production begins later this year on the feature film at Netflix.

Frankenstein will stream exclusively on Netflix
