Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Marvel Studios hired Dario Scardapane as showrunner for their upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again. Production on the series was already halfway done when both the writer’s and actors’ strikes halted filming. Marvel Studios looked over the footage and decided to go in another direction, letting go of head writers Chris Ord & Matt Corman. Marvel has turned to following more traditional TV productions instead of forcing their film production setup into a TV production like the last few Disney+ Shows.
Now, Jack Ryan and The Punisher writer Dario Scardapane will take on traditional show running duties. He will write the remaining episodes and rewrite what was already shot to connect the two productions. Finally, the directing duo Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead will be tapped to direct the final episode. They previously helped direct both Moon Knight and this season of Loki. Charlie Cox, Jon Bernthal, and Vincent D’Onofrio will all return as Matt Murdock, Frank Castle, and The Kingpin.
Daredevil: Born Again is expected to hit sometime in 2025
