RUMOR: Walt Disney Courting Jennifer Lawrence For A ‘Tinkerbell’ Live-Action Movie From Producer Reese Witherspoon

Walt Disney is hard at work adapting a slew of their animated properties into live-action projects. Earlier this year, Disney released Peter Pan & Wendy on Disney+, which met with some positive reactions from fans of the classic story. According to Daniel Richman on Patreon, the studio is looking to develop a Peter Pan spin-off focusing on his pixie sidekick, Tinkerbell.

Before the current WGA writers strike, screenwriter Maria Melnik penned the script for the film under producers Reese Witherspoon, Bruna Papandrea, and Lindsay Doran. The studio is looking at actress Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) in Tink’s title role, though no offer is in place. No director has been selected yet for the film. The studio has not officially announced.
