Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi and Nathan Fillion All Join DC’s ‘Superman: Legacy’

Today, Vanity Fair announced that actors Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, and Nathan Fillion have all joined the cast of James Gunn’s upcoming Superman: Legacy. Singer/actor Isabela Merced is best known for her role in Transformers and next year’s Madame Web. She is set to play Hawkgirl, a prominent member of the animated Justice League series. Edi Gathegi became an internet meme after playing the unkillable mutant Darwin and immediately getting killed in X-Men: First Class. He is set to star as Mr. Terrific, who made his live-action debut on The CW’s Arrow.

Finally, Fillon has been wanting to play Green Lantern for the better part of a decade. After learning about the character from a fanmade trailer in the early 2000s, he voiced Hal Jordan in several animated movies. He will play the fan-favorite red-headed Lantern, Guy Gardner, in the Superman reboot. They join David Corenswet (The Politician) as Clark Kent and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.
