RUMOR: Hailee Steinfeld’s MCU Return May Tease A Future ‘Young Avengers’ Project

Hailee Steinfeld first came into the MCU as Hawkeye’s protege in the 2021 Disney+ series. She was immediately praised for her role as Kate Bishop, specifically alongside Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova. Recently, Daniel Ritchman revealed on his Patreon the future of Hailee Steinfeld in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to the report, she will appear in previously announced The Marvels, Haweye Season 2, Marvel Zombies, and Avengers: Secret Wars. Interestingly, she is also mentioned to appear in a Young Avengers project (unknown if it’s a film or series) currently slated TBD 2025-2026. A separate leaked report (via Twitter) from The Marvels is expected to set up the Young Avengers, with Kate Bishop meeting Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani) as they mention needing to find Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton).

Phase 4 of the MCU has laid the groundwork for other Young Avengers, including Elijah Richardson (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) as Eli Bradley and Joe Locke (Agatha: Coven of Chaos) as an older Wiccan. As well as Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange 2) as the multiverse-jumping teen America Chavez. Another possible hero added to the lineup is from the long-rumored Nova project featuring the younger Sam Alexander. The final lineup is currently unknown for the young Marvel team-up. No writer or director has been attached to the project either.
