Chris Sanders & Tia Carrere Return For Disney’s ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Movie; While David Is Recast

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced the rest of the cast for Disney’s upcoming Lilo & Stitch live-action movie. Chris Sanders and Tia Carrere will return from the original animated film as Stitch and the newly created child services character Mrs. Keoka. Back in November, we at Knight Edge Media revealed Mrs. Keoka will inspect Lilo and Nani throughout the film. Amy Hill will also play a new elderly character named Tūtū.

The report also states that Kaipot Dudoit will play the role of David after the original actor Kahiau Machado was released from the role following Disney’s internal social media audit. They all join newcomer Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Agudong as Nani, Zach Galifianakis as Jumba, Billy Magnussen as Pleakley, and Courtney B. Vance as fan-favorite Cobra Bubbles. Dean Fleischer Camp will helm the project from the Chris Kekaniokalani Bright screenplay. Production is underway on the island of Oahu for 8 weeks.
