Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced several new Batman spin-off projects currently in development by director Matt Reeves. The director looks to flesh out his brand new Gotham universe with several small projects that will debut on HBO Max already, including The Penguin and Arkham Asylum. Now the report states several of Batman’s rogues will also get their projects, including Scarecrow, Professor Pyg, and Clayface. It’s unknown how far along these projects are, but we at Knight Edge Media did hear that Clayface could be introduced in The Penguin, which begins filming in January. The Batman sequel is also in development with the director though it’s unknown which rogue will be the story’s villain.
