Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Warner Brothers along with DC Comics are developing a Wonder Twins film. The project will be written and directed by Adam Sztykiel. Adam Sztykiel most recently worked on Black Adam for the studio. Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will produce the project under their Temple Hill production banner.

The Wonder Twins follows a pair of alien siblings named Zan and Jayna. They were imprinted on a generation of television viewers thanks to their introduction on Hanna-Barbera’s The All-New Super Friends Hour as young companions to the iconic and adult heroes such as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. The heroes then appeared in the Super Friends comic and, over time, became incorporated into the larger DC universe.

It’s unknown if the film will be stand-alone or be connected to the “new” DC Extended Universe following the events of The Flash. It is also unknown if the film will debut in theaters or move to HBO Max like Batgirl.
