Screenwriters Jeff Kaplan & Ian Springer Will Pen Marvel Studios ‘Fantastic Four’

Today, Deadline announced that screenwriters Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer have been hired to pen the script for Marvel Studios upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. Director Matt Shakman recently was announced at D23 to be taking over as director from Jon Watts. The two have been attached to the project since Watts was on board but will now speak with Shakman on his vision for the film. They are best known for writing the 2013 romantic comedy Bert and Arnie’s Guide to Friendship. The Hollywood Reporter also revealed in their report it’s unknown if John Krasinski will appear again as Reed Richards.
