Screenwriter Mattson Tomlin Will Help Co-Write ‘The Batman’ Sequel

Mattson Tomlin the batman sequel

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that screenwriter Mattson Tomlin will help co-write The Batman sequel alongside director Matt Reeves. This comes off the news that Matt Reeves had signed a first-look deal with Warner Brothers and Warner Television to produce a slew of projects for the studio, including Arkham Asylum and The Penguin shows on HBO Max. Many don’t know, but Tomlin did help write the third act of The Batman but never was given a writing credit. The script was still considered to be written by Matt Reeves and Peter Craig. It’s unknown what the second film in the proposed trilogy will be about, but many fans hope it’s Mister Freeze or the Court of Owls.

The Batman 2 has no set release date.
