Today, Daniel Ritchman revealed on his Patreon that a live-action Max Payne reboot project has been put into early development. Currently, 20th Century Studios owns the rights to the adaption after the critically panned 2008 film starring Mark Wahlberg. The character is originally from the Rockstar series of video games but the film tried (and failed) to capture the same aesthetic of the Sin City films. It’s unknown if the new project will be another film or a series. No writer or director is attached to the project.
