Director Justin Lin Boards ‘One Punch Man’ For Sony Pictures

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that director Justin Lin will helm the upcoming One Punch Man anime adaption for Sony Pictures. The film has long been in development with producer Avi Arad but could not get off the ground. At one point, director Jake Kasden was circling the gig but has since passed. Lin recently departed the Fast & Furious franchise over “creative differences” with star Vin Diesel. He also directed Star Trek Beyond after JJ Abrams step away to direct Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Jumanji: The Next Level and Venom scribes Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner penned the latest draft of the script.
