Warner Brothers and Director Matt Reeves Moving Forward With ‘The Batman’ Sequel

A sizzle real of upcoming projects debuted for the crowd during the Warner Brothers panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The panel introduced The Batman director Matt Reeves, who was present earlier in the day to thank exhibitors. The studio announced a sequel has officially been greenlighted, with Reeves returning to write and direct. Star Robert Pattinson will also return as Bruce Wayne for the upcoming film. While it was expected, this was the first time the studio officially announced the project.

Director Matt Reeves has mentioned several Batman rogues he would like to tackle after The Riddler (played by Paul Dano), including Mr. Freeze. However, it’s unknown if the director will bring back Barry Keoghan as The Joker after his cameo in the original film.
