Today, Deadline announced that Oscar-nominated actress Florence Pugh has entered talks to join Dune: Part Two as Princess Irulan Corrino. Pugh has long been fan cast for the role of the Princess ever since WB moved forward with a sequel.

However, while she has entered talks she has yet to sign on due to also being in the running for the Madonna biopic. As well as filming in Hungary may be too close to the current war in Ukraine. If she does eventually choose to join the cast she would be reteaming with her Little Woman co-star Timothée Chalamet. Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, and Josh Brolin all expect to return in the sequel. Production begins this fall with returning director Denis Villeneuve.

Dune: Part Two is expected to hit theaters October 20, 2023
