Russell Crowe Joins Sony Pictures ‘Kraven the Hunter’

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that actor Russell Crowe (Thor: Love and Thunder) has joined the cast of Sony Pictures’ upcoming Spider-Man spin-off Kraven the Hunter. Aaron Taylor-Johnson was tapped the play the anti-hero last year. The role Crowe will play is currently unknown. Last year it was revealed that Kraven’s half-brother Chamloen would be the film’s main villain. J.C. Chandor is directing the film from a screenplay by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach will once again produce the film. Kraven is one of many spin-off films from Spider-Man’s rogue’s gallery, including Venom, Morbius, and Madame Web. Production is expected to begin in March.
