Paramount Pictures Moving Forward With ‘Scream 6’; Neve Campbell Expected To Return

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that they will be moving forward with Scream 6. The sequel had been rumored shortly after Scream 5 was released in theaters last month. While the sequel was extremely “meta” like Scream 4; it’s unknown if again the upcoming sequel will follow suit.

One Take News has revealed that original scream queens and hero of the films Neve Campbell is expected to return as Sydney Prescott. It’s unknown if newcomers Melissa Barrera and  Jenna Ortega will return as they survived the last film. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will return to direct; with a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Production will begin later this summer.
