The multiverse is about to break wide open with next month’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film is expected to introduce several villains (and heroes) from past Spider-Man films into the MCU as they all face off against Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. What confused many fans is the plethora of spin-off Sony Pictures films based on Spider-Man characters, including Venom, Morbius, Spider-Woman, and Kraven the Hunter. Following the events of Venom: Let there Be Cranage, Eddie Brock finds himself in a new universe that also features Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. So what of the other spin-off characters?

Today, Daniel Ritchman revealed on his Patreon that the studio is looking to develop a Miles Morales spin-off film. The character will be set within another universe from the main MCU one for now. However, with the Spider-Verse opening up, anything can happen featuring Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. In the comics, the character originally debuted in the Ultimate universe before being introduced into the main 616 universes. The character also got a massive appeal from the general audience when the animated film Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse was released in 2019. The character was also the main character in a Sony Playstation exclusive released in 2020. It was only a matter of time before Miles was considered to be used in a live-action film. The film has yet to be announced with a writer or director.
