Nova has long been a character that many fans have hoped to see grace the big screen within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Two heroes take up the mantle, including Richard Rider from Xander and Sam Alexander from Earth. Ever since Xander and the Nova Corps were destroyed at the hands of Thanos. Nova (Richard Rider version) was initially written as the lone survivor before the screenplay was rewritten to make Bruce Banner the herald to earth.

Early this year, The Illuminerdi mentioned that a Nova project was in the works. However, they didn’t know if it was a series or a feature-length film of the character. Now our friends at Geeks World Wide have revealed that the project will indeed become a feature film. Production is expected to begin on the film in 2023. No writer or director has been announced for the project.
