Kathryn Newton Joins ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’ Sequel

Today, during the Marvel Studios section of Disney’s Investors Day head Kevin Feige announced that director Peyton Reed was hard at work on Ant-Man 3. The third film in the Ant-Man trilogy will feature Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. Michelle Pfeiffer will return as Janet Van Dyne and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne.

During the presentation, it was also announced that Detective Pikachu and Freaky star Kathryn Newton will be taking over the role of older Cassie Lang. Cassie Lang was played Emma Fuhrmann in Avengers: Endgame after the 5-year tie jump from Ant-Man and The Wasp. Feige also revealed the film will be titled Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Finally, it was confirmed that Jonathan Majors will star as the film’s antagonist Kang the Conquerer.
