Director Jake Kasden Courted To Helm Sony Pictures ‘One Punch Man’ Live-Action Adaption

Sony Pictures along with produce Avi Arad currently holds the rights to many live-action anime adaptions. The producer hired Venom screenwriters Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner to pen the script for the live-action adaptation.

Now Daniel Ritchman has revealed on his Patreon that director Jake Kasden is being courted by the studio to helm the project. Kasden worked with Rosenberg and Pinker on reviving Jumanji for a new generation in 2017 with Welcome To The Jungle. So it makes sense that would team up again in the future. However, it’s unknown if he has taken the gig.
