Anthony Mackie Joins Sony’s ‘Twisted Metal’ TV Series

Today, Deadline announced that Anthony Mackie had joined the cast of Sony’s Twisted Metal TV series. He will play the character of John Doe alongside Will Arnett as Sweet Tooth in the upcoming live-action high-octane death race video game adaption. Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions, added, “We’re thrilled to have Anthony Mackie on board. His ability to blend comedy, action and drama is perfect for the Twisted world we’re creating,”

Mackie also recently signed on to reprise the role of Captain America in Captain America 4 after the events of The falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+. He has also appeared on several other streaming shows, including Altered Carbon and Black Mirror. Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool) helped pen the scripts for the show alongside Michael Jonathan Smith (Cobra Kai).
