Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that HBO’s Watchmen writer Stacy Osei-Kuffour has been tapped to write Blade for Marvel Studio. The studio has been hard at work since late last year to find a screenwriter for the project. The project will star Mahershala Ali as the daywalker. The studio still looks to hire a director for the movie. Fans have suggested African-American directors like Jordan Peele (Get Out), Rick Famuyiwa (The Mandalorian), or Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer) for the project. Kevin Feige will produce for the studio.
