Today, Deadline announced that female director Misha Green has been tapped to write & direct the upcoming Tomb Raider sequel. She takes over the reins to helm the project from director Ben Wheatley who has signed onto direct The Meg 2.
This will be Green’s feature film debut but made a name for herself showrunning HBO’s critically acclaimed Lovecraft Country. Alicia Vikander will reprise the role of Lara Croft in the upcoming sequel. MGM will be producing the project. Production begins shortly.
