Ethan Hawke Joins Marvel Studios ‘Moon Knight’ Disney+ Series as the Main Villain

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Oscar-award winning actor Ethan Hawke has joined the cast of Marvel Studios Moon Knight Disney+ series. The report states that his character is being kept under wraps but he will play the shows, main villain, throughout. Some fans have speculated that he could play Werewolf by Night; the character is expected to make an appearance and was an original foe of Moon Knight. However, some suggest that because Werewolf by Night ends up becoming a hero alongside Moon Knight; Hawke may play something else.

We at Knight Edge Media last year revealed that Dracula was expected to make an appearance in the show as well. Having Ethan Hawke secretly play Dracula would allow the actor to crossover to the Blade film and the larger MCU. Hawke played a vampire in 2009’s Daybreakers. Actress May Calamawy was also announced to have joined the cast earlier this week by Deadline. The show will star Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector aka Moon Knight. A merc turned hero with dissociative identity disorder who believes he has been granted special powers from the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Production begins this March in Budapest with showrunner Jeremy Slater.

Moon Knight will stream exclusively on Disney+
