Chris Pine Will Star in Paramount’s ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Feature Film

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Wonder Woman & Star Trek star Chris Pine has closed a deal to star in Dungeons & Dragons. The film has long been in development after a long legal battle over the film’s rights were settled in 2015. Game Night directing duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are set to helm the project. The project is now being developed by Paramount Pictures along with eOne under the working title Chainmail. Joe Manganiello (Magic Mike, Army of the Dead) has expressed interest in the past to be cast in a live-action D&D film due to his love for the board game. It’s unknown if he has been approached for this project.
