‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Pivots To HBO Max Christmas Day Release

Today, Warner Brothers along with HBO Max announced that Wonder Woman 1984 will be released on the streaming service as well as in theaters. The film will stream free for a month to subscribers free of charge. Wonder Woman 1984 was pushed back many times due to production and ultimately the COVID pandemic.

WB had a hard choice to push the film back once again to summer 2021 or keep it’s Christmas date with streaming as an alternate. Surprisingly, they decided not to add a surcharge to the film like Disney did for Mulan in September. The question now remains is what other 2020 blockbusters will hit online now that Warner Brothers blinked first…
