Sturridge will play Dream (Sandman/Lucifer) one of The Endless immortal begins which includes Death, Desire, Destiny, Delirium, Despair, and Destruction. Sturridge beat out Tom York (Poldark) and Colin Morgan (Merlin) for the role earlier this year.

The series is based on the acclaimed Neil Gaiman comic book’s from the 90’s and will run 11 episodes. The series is being adapted by showrunner Allan Heinberg (Wonder Woman) and writer David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight). Earlier this year a dramatized audiobook was released with an ensemble cast including James McAvoy as Dream and Taron Egerton as John Constantine. Joseph Gordon-Levitt tired to direct and star in a feature film several years ago but left due to creative differences.
