Screenwriter Christina Hodson Re-teams with Margot Robbie for Original ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Movie

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Birds of Prey & Bumblebee screenwriter Christina Hodson had been tapped to pen an original Pirates of the Caribbean movie. This upcoming movie will not be set in the world of Jack Sparrow and is separate from the previously announced spin-off starring Karen Gillian. That film will be penned by Ted Elliot and  Craig Mazin. This film will be female-centric and will star Margot Robbie in the lead role. The report lastly mentions that series is also being considered for Disney+ as well.
