Sony’s ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ Sequel Hits in 2022

Over the past week, Sony has been dropping hints that an Into the Spider-Verse sequel announcement was on the way. Then today it was announced that a sequel is indeed on the way and will hit theaters April 8th, 2022. All the original cast is expected to return which included Miles (Shameik Moore), Peter (Jake Johnson), Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld), Porker (John Mulaney), Noir (Nicholas Cage), and Peni (Kimiko Glenn). It is also expected that Oscar Issac will return to voice Spider-Man 2099 after appearing in the post-credit scene at the end of the original movie.
