Today, Deadline announced that actor Michael Gandolfini has joined the cast of Daredevil: Born Again in a significant but mysterious role. Gandolfini had a leading role as young Tony Soprano in the film The Many Saints of Newark. The report states he could play “an ambitious guy from Staten Island referred to as Liam.”

Though some contradicting reports states, he could have a role as either a young Wilson Fisk or his son Richard Fisk. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio return again as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk set firmly in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series will be showrun by Matt Corman and Chris Ord. Production begins in May 2023 in New York for 18 episodes.
