James Wan and Jason Blum To Merge ‘Blumhouse’ & ‘Atomic Monster’ Production Companies

Recently, Deadline announced that horror producers James Wan and Jason Blum are looking to merge their two production companies Blumhouse and Atomic Monster into a single entity. James Wan is best known for directing/producing horror films like Saw, The Conjuring, and recently Malignant. While Jason Blum has produced films like Paranormal Activity, The Purge, Halloween, The Exorcist, and Sinister. Atomic Monster and Blumehouse will still remain separate in terms of creative rights but Atomic Monster will benefit from Blumhouse’s first-look deal with Universal Pictures to scale their number of productions across film, tv, and audio. It’s unknown what the new production company will be named moving forward. A deal has not been finalized for the merger.
