Recently, Variety revealed that actor William Jackson Harper is a part of the cast of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania in a mysterious role. Many fans have long fancast, Harper, as race-swapped Reed Richards in the main 616-universe. However, we at Knight Edge Media have heard Harper will not be playing Reed in the film, but another fighter against Kang stuck in the Quantum Realm much like Bill Murray’s character. Apparently, the studio is open to looking at POC actors for the role of Reed, just not Harper.

With this recent development, it confirms that John Krasinski (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) will not be returning to play the character as the main 616-version of the character. That doesn’t mean he can’t return as a future variant if we meet the Council of Reeds, which could include Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four) and Miles Teller (Fan4stic).

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters on February 17th
