Director Nathan Hope Set To Helm ‘National Treasure’ on Disney+ (EXCLUSIVE)

Today, we at Knight Edge Media can exclusively announce that director and cinematographer Nathan Hope has boarded the National Treasure Disney+ series. He is best known for directing several other streaming shows like Lucifer, Titans, and Gotham. Currently, it is only known that he will be directing the pilot episode. He joins the previously announced director Mira Nair (via Deadline). The episode is slated to begin filming next month in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The series is also expected to be 10 1-hour episodes. Which will be written and showrun by The Wibberley’s. Jerry Bruckheimer also returns to produce.

The semi-reboot is expected to have a brand new cast of characters, including newcomers Lisette Alexis (Total Eclipse), Lyndon Smith (Parenthood), Zuri Reed (Flatbush Misdemeanors), Jake Austin Walker (12 Mighty Orphans), Antonio Cipriano (Jagged Little Pill), and Jordan Rodrigues (Light as a Feather). Original cast member Justin Bartha was also announced to be returning for the series as Riley Poole.
