Today, Deadline announced a new Marvel Studios project is in development focused on fan-favorite character Nova. We at Knight Edge Media revealed in 2020 that a project was in the consideration stage by the studio. And then last year, both The Illuminerdi and Geeks Worldwide confirmed a project was moving forward. This was a long time coming as the studio wanted to introduce the character in the original Guardians of the Galaxy and again in Avengers: Infinity War. Richard Rider’s version of Nova was originally going to be the one to warn The Avengers of Thanos following the destruction of Xandar.

The studio has tapped Moon Knight scribe Sabir Pirzada to pen the project. While the report mentions it’s unknown if the project is a movie or not, writer Justin Knoll does reveal on Twitter that it will most likely be a limited series on Disney+.
