Florence Pugh Black Widow Hawkeye Banner1

Today, The Direct revealed that Florence Pugh (Midsommar, Little Women) will be returning as Yelena Belova for Marvel’s upcoming Hawkeye Disney+ series. The series is expected to begin filming this week in Atlanta. With star Jeremy Renner returning as the Bow-and-Arrow Avenger.

It was expected that Yelena Belova would be taking up the mantle as the new Black Widow after Natasha Romanov (played by Scarlett Johansson) died in Avengers: Endgame. Belova will be first introduced in Black Widow, which takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War. It’s unknown how large of a role she will have in the series but is expected to get a Ronin-inspired suit just like Clint Barton.

Hawkeye will stream exclusively on Disney+ in 2021
