Director Matt Reeves has been pretty absent from social media over the last two years as he was writing the next installment in his Batman trilogy. With the announcement that screen tests began last week in preparation for an actual shoot, the esteemed director took to X to announce the full cast of The Batman: Part 2. The cast includes the obvious returning cast of Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Detective Jim Gordon, Jayme Lawson as Mayor Bella Reál, and Gil Perez-Abraham as fan-favorite Officer Martinez.
He also confirmed the previously rumored cast of Sebastian Stan as Harvey Dent, Scarlett Johansson as Gilda Dent, and Charles Dance as Christopher Dent. Finally, he revealed that actors Sebastian Koch and Brian Tyree Henry will appear in the film in currently unknown roles. It looks as if Zoë Kravitz or Cristin Milioti will not return as Selina Kyle and Sofia Falcone despite their critical acclaim in The Batman and The Penguin TV show. Production begins in early June.
The Batman: Part 2 will hit theaters on October 1st, 2027
