Today, Deadline announced that Lovecraft Country and Da 5 Bloods star Jonathan Majors is joining the cast of Ant-Man 3. The report states that Majors is most likely playing the time-traveling villain known as Kang the Conqueror. However, it does also mention that Kang might not be the only villain in the film (MODOK has been rumored in the past).

Kang (Nathanial Richards) is from the future and a descendant of Reed Richards. With the casting of Majors, it could be suggested that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will feature a black actor to play Reed Richards in the future Fantastic Four movie. Also, with the introduction of Kang who is also a known Young Avengers villain; it would add to the long-standing rumor that the MCU will have a Young Avengers project very soon.

Peyton Reed is returning to helm the project. With Paul Rudd returning as Scott Lang and Evangeline Lily returning as Hope Van Dyne. Production is expected to begin June 2021 in Atlanta, GA.
