Over the last week, several new British actors have been added to the overall shortlist for the new James Bond. The studio had narrowed it to only a few finalists in August, as we at Knight Edge Media reported. However, they then called back several other actors and expanded the shortlist again in October. The finalists for actual screen tests included Callum Turner (Masters of the Sky), Josh O’Connor (Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man) and Jack Lowden (Slow Horses). The original report said some unknown dark horses might still be out there.

We now learn that heavy hitters Robert Pattinson (The Batman) and Nicholas Hoult (Superman) did indeed screen test with the rest of the finalists. We heard in August that Jack O’Connell (Sinners) was also in the mix, but he wasn’t added to the final list to screen test. Then there was fan favorite Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), who has been wanted online for over a year but never made it anywhere. It seems we’re down to the wire, and we should expect Amazon MGM to announce our new James Bond by year’s end. Denis Villeneuve (Dune) will direct the film.

James Bond 26 has no set release date
