Sony Pictures has officially announced they are moving forward with Ridley Scott’s Treasure Island remake. This week, the studio revealed that the swashbuckling movie will indeed star Hugh Jackman as Long John Silver, as previously rumored. The film will also star Owen Cooper, presumably as Jim Hawkins, and Hugh Grant. Cooper is best known for winning an Emmy for Netflix’s Adolescence. Based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel, the film will begin production next year.
