Today, a new report has announced that actor Jimmy Tatro is circling the role of Gorilla Grodd in the upcoming Jimmy Olsen spin-off series. Tatro is best known for his dumb jock comedic roles in 22 Jump Street and Modern Family throughout the 2010s. Grodd is expected to be the main villain of the series, a mockumentary true-crime show set in the new DC Universe. Typically, Grodd is a Flash villain in the comics, though Flash has been set to be revealed in this new universe. Skyler Gisondo will return as Jimmy Olsen after appearing in last year’s Superman reboot.
