Today, a report announced that director Chris Sanders has boarded Disney’s Lilo & Stitch 2 live-action movie. Sanders returned to voice Stitch in the first live-action film after directing the original animated films. However, now he will take over directing duties from Dean Fleischer Camp (Marcel the Shell with Shoes On). He recently directed the Oscar-winning film The Wild Robot in 2024 and 2020’s Call of the Wild. Jonathan Eirich returns to produce the film for Rideback. The new film is not expected to be a direct adaptation of Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch, but rather a brand-new original story.
