Today, Netflix officially announced that the highly anticipated second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender will return to the streaming service this June. The show will be released exclusively on Netflix on June 25th, 2026. We at Knight Edge Media heard late last year, as production ended on season 3, that the show would be released “sometime” during Q2 of 2026 (via X). It should be assumed that, since they filmed seasons 2 and 3 back-to-back, season 3 will probably be released sometime in Q2 of 2027, but that is pure speculation. We have also heard that everything has been going smoothly in post-production for the seven-episode sophomore season, as the production team has dropped The Volume for on-location filming. Season 2 will adapt the second season of the beloved animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender with the introduction of fan-favorite blind hero Toph (played by Miya Cech). A full trailer for season two should be released sometime this May.
