Today, a report has announced that actress Naomi Wirthner has joined the Harry Potter reboot TV series as Madam Malkin. She recently appeared in the 2025 live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon. In the original novel, Malkin owns a shop in Diagon Alley where Harry first meets Draco Malfoy and gets his Hogwarts robes. The character was completely omitted from the original film, as Harry first meets Draco already at Hogwarts. Also, stage actor Louis Shelton will cameo in the series as older Ron Weasley when Ron and Harry discover the Mirror of Erised. Production on season 1 will end soon in Leversden, UK.
