Today, a report announced that French actress Eva Green has joined the ensemble cast of Netflix’s live-action TV series Wednesday. Green is best known for her period roles in Dark Shadows, Penny Dreadful, and, most recently, The Three Musketeers. She is set to play the mysterious Aunt Ophelia, who was teased at the end of season 2. Ophelia Frump is the long-lost sister of Morticia Addams (played by Catherine Zeta Jones).

Green added in a statement, “I’m thrilled to join the woefully twisted world of Wednesday as Aunt Ophelia. This show is such a deliciously dark and witty world, I can’t wait to bring my own touch of cuckoo-ness to the Addams family.” Production on season 3 begins in early 2026, back in Wicklow, Ireland.
Wednesday season 3 will return to Netflix sometime in late 2027
