Today, Netflix announced that its Wednesday Addams live-action series has been renewed for a third season. The series, starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, was met with considerable critical praise when it debuted in 2023. However, this renewal comes two weeks before the season 2 premiere on the streaming channel.

“Television has — and always will be — a team sport.  [Co-creator and co-showrunner] Miles [Millar] and I have been doing this long enough to know that shows like this don’t come along every day. It’s such an alchemy of writing, directing, acting, crew, streamer, studio, and fans. We remain grateful and excited to continue this journey and tell these stories with all of our partners.” – Co-Creator Alfred Gough

Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Gomez (Luis Guzmán), and Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) will all have expanded roles in season 2 and are expected to return in season 3.

Wednesday season 2 returns to Netflix on August 6th
