Today, DC Studios co-head James Gunn confirms a new Wonder Woman reboot movie is currently being written. This movie will be separate from the previously announced Paradise Lost series about the Amazons. The original Wonder Woman film, starring Gal Gadot in the title role and directed by Patty Jenkins, was one of the few highlights of the old Snyder-verse. However, the brand suffered a significant decline when Wonder Woman 1984 was released in late 2020. Many fans have fancast actress May Calamawy in the title role after her time on Moon Knight. It’s unknown who is currently writing the new reboot. No director is attached either.
