Today, several Reddit sleuths for the FX series Shogun stumble upon an empty set in Vancouver, Canada. While they first thought the empty sets were for the upcoming second season of Shogun, they quickly discovered the architecture was Chinese-inspired, not Japanese.
We at Knight Edge Media can confirm the empty sets are for the second season of Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender. The different sets are for small Earth Kingdom villages used in the sophomore season, as the series will no longer film on The Volume. It’s more likely the drone video is in Gaoling, the village Toph comes from, or small sections of Ba Sing Se, though the exact locations were not revealed. Production has been going on since October and will end later this month.
Avatar: The Last Airbender will return exclusively to Netflix
