Today, a report announced that Netflix had canceled The Sandman, a live-action TV adaptation. This follows a slew of sexual misconduct allegations against original comic book writer Neil Gaiman brought to light this past month (via Vulture). The series will end with the second season on the streaming platform. The production of the series has had many issues after taking months to get renewed following the first season because of its already expensive cost. Due to the ongoing strikes in 2023, the second season of filming stopped and started multiple times. Now, it will not move forward whatsoever.

The Sandman will stream for its second and final season on Netflix later this year
